Issue Aug 19-25 2026: On August 18, 2026, Bolivian Police arrested Fernando Cerimedo as he tried to board an Aerolíneas Argentinas flight to Buenos Aires at Bolivia’s Viru Viru airport in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Hours beforehand, Cerimedo’s ex-partner, Bolivian lawyer and activist Nadia Beller, had been shot multiple times in a hotel doorway
