Issue Apr 22-May 05 2026: Near the end of April, Mexico’s Sheinbaum administration, as well as its state-owned oil and gas company Pemex, finally admitted what the media and relevant organizations had already known for weeks: the massive oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico which has caused serious environmental damage on the coasts of Tabasco, Veracruz, and Tamaulipas originated in one of its installations.
