Similar to many social movements, this year has brought additional obstacles to pushing forward the feminist movement, which has been sidelined on account of the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, the feminist movement gained great momentum in Mexico, with about 80,000 women showing up to Mexico City’s women’s march and protests. Although many are speculating how this progress has been hindered by the pandemic, the year has continued to show forward motion in bits and pieces for feminism in Mexico.
