Luis de León is a Panamanian scientist who has been studying the evolutionary processes of animals for the past 15 years. Born in Santiago, Veraguas of Panama, De León is a professor and researcher at the University of Massachusetts in the United States. He grew up in La Huaca, Herrera and studied biology at the Regional University Center of Veraguas. In his laboratory, he works with students from other countries, such as Brazil and the United States, as well as students from his home country, Panama.
