According to a study jointly headed by the United Nation Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL), and the Latin American Association for Integration (ALADI), climate change will disproportionately affect the agricultural sector, threatening Latin American and Caribbean food security.
