In 2006, Evo Morales made history in Bolivia by becoming the first president of his country who was indigenous and a coca farmer.  In October of 2015, he broke another record by becoming the leader with the most time in office: ten years, surpassing the nine years, eight months, and 24 days of one of the country’s founders, soldier Andrés de Santa Cruz.
