On April 30, 2020, 22-year-old Facundo Astudillo Castro left his home in Pedro Luro in the Buenos Aires Province of Argentina heading to Bahía Blanca; however, he never arrived at his destination. Facundo was trying to visit his ex-girlfriend, but on the way, he was stopped by the Buenos Aires police in Mayor Buratovich for violating Argentina’s mandatory quarantine. No one has seen or heard from him since. Serious irregularities and inconsistencies in the investigation of Facundo’s whereabouts have led his family and others to believe that this is a case of forced disappearance by the police.
