Roger Leiva Calderón, Costa Rican “River Hugger”

The love that the people of Quebradas have for their pueblo is evident in their tidy gardens, trash-free roads, immaculate schools, and above all, their sparkling sage-green Quebradas River.  This respect for the river and its environment can be traced, in large part, to the creation of the non-profit AQUA (Asociacion Quebradeña de Artesanos) in 2007 by Leiva Calderón.
