Report Highlights Regional Bribery Trends and Names Mexico the Most Corrupt Country in Latin America (with the Dominican Republic as Runner Up)

In Mexico, more than half of the population has bribed authorities for access to basic public services, according to the Barómetro Global de la Corrupción (Global Corruption Barometer).  The report revealed that one in three Latin Americans paid bribes to basic public services in the last 12 months. After Mexico, the highest rates of bribery were in the Dominican Republic and Peru.
