Issue Sep 24-30 2025: Peru’s First National Preliminary Investigation Court, under the direction of judge Richard Concepción Carhuancho, has formally requested that Costa Rica repatriate US $6.6 million with interest, a sum allegedly linked to bribes received by Peruvian ex-president Alejandro Toledo, who is currently serving time in Lima’s Barbadillo Prison.
