Pension Problems for Women in Latin America

According to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in 2050 there will be over 140 million people who are 65 years and older in Latin America and the Caribbean.  This adds to the complexity of pension issues for women in the region who often find themselves with low pension coverage because of their work in the informal sector, raising children and caring for the elderly.
