Issue Sep 23-29 2026: The rise of Panama’s gastronomic sector can be traced clearly over the last decade, but the milestone came in October 2017, when Panama City was admitted into UNESCO’s Network of Creative Cities in the gastronomy category, making it the first central American city to earn the laurel and placing it among a select group of 64 other municipalities in 44 countries around the world.
