Panama Canal Increases to 49 Feet its Maximum Permitted Depth for Ships

Issue Aug 01-07 2024: The Panama Canal announced that the maximum authorized draft (depth) allowed for vessels transiting the Canal will be 49 feet, based on the current and projected level of Gatun Lake for the next few weeks.
