Issue Nov 12-18 2025: A group of 1,246 Nicaraguan banana workers is attempting to convince French judicial officials to recognize as binding rulings issued by Nicaraguan courts ordering three U.S. chemical companies—Dow Chemical, Shell Oil, and Occidental Chemical—to compensate them for injuries caused by the pesticide DBCP, also known as Nemagón or Fumazone.
