Mysterious Chinese Company Granted Gold-Mining Concession in Nicaragua

Issue Mar 18-24 2026: Nicaragua’s Attorney General’s Office (PGJ), acting on behalf of the Directorate General of Mines (DGM), has authorized the use of nearly 12,000 hectares of national territory currently leased to Xinxin Linze Mining Group to a new Chinese mining company called Jinrun Huaxia International Mining. The transfer of the land was approved in February but not made public until March 19.
