Issue Feb 11-17 2026: On October 6, 1936, Mexican President General Lázaro Cárdenas del Río, passed a law reallocating lands for cotton farming in the regions of Lagunera de Coahuila and Durango, radically transforming the distribution of wealth and way of life in these prosperous areas, without adversely affecting their economy or system of cotton production.
