Mexican Union Leader Calls for Unity in the Face of New Threats to Workers

Issue Apr 22-May 05 2026: During the biyearly, inaugural assembly of the National Union of Mine, Metal, Steel, and Allied Workers of the Mexican Republic, the organization’s director, Napoleón Gómez Urrutia, called for unity among trade unions in the face of the global threats posed by “arbitrary and unilateral” decisions threatening members of the working class and the companies that employ them, warning that “if they attack one and nothing is done, they will attack us all.”
