Issue Aug 09-15 2023: More than 100,000 Brazilian women, along with representatives from 33 countries, are expected to participate in the 7th Marcha das Margaridas, which has since 2000 marched in honor of Margarida Maria Alves, a tireless advocate for the rights of rural workers who was assassinated in 1983.
