Recognizing the ego, seeing obstacles as opportunities, untying knots in order to transform oneself, releasing that which wounds you, and understanding that actions have effects. “These aren’t religious doctrines; what I’m speaking about is an inner quest, about how change begins with the self. In this series, I use images in order to get across these messages,” explained Argentine photographer Gaby Herbstein, whose new exhibit, Retratos de conciencia (Portraits of Consciousness), is on display at Buenos Aires’ Sivori Museum.
