Issue Apr 02-May 31 2025: As easter approached in 2025, celebrations, processions, and government plans to deal with influxes of tourism were taking place throughout Latin America. In many of these countries, the Christian celebration has been combined with the traditions of indigenous cultures that pre-date the arrival of Christianity to the region. However, not all Christians have been given the space to celebrate the holiday freely as they face government prohibition of their traditions.
