Patricia Romero Lankao, Fernando Farias, and Mercedes Bustamante of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a report on “Mitigation and Climate Change,” The reduction of fossil fuel subsidies, the coordination of governance policies (in both cities and rural areas), and the change of land use are some of the issues that countries in Latin America and the Caribbean are facing to mitigate climate change.
