Issue Jan 07-13 2026: Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Costa Rica grew in the third trimester of 2025, but this was not due to an injection of fresh capital or reinvested profits by companies operating in the country, according to the report “Costa Rica: FID 3T2025-More Concentration, More Manufacturing and Accountable Growth Explained by Debt,” compiled by analyst Sandro Zolezzi of the LEAD University and research fellow at the Academia de Centroamérica.
