Ecuador Begins Proceedings for the Extradition of Former President Rafael Correa

Iván Saquicela, President of the Corte Nacional de Justicia de Ecuador, recently signed an extradition request for former President Rafael Correa, who currently lives in Belgium, to “return to the Andean country” and “serve an eight-year sentence” for his involvement in a bribery case.
