Economic Growth Not Accompanied by Improved Perception of National Progress in Peru

Issue Jan 01-06 2026: Peru’s sustained growth in formal, private employment and real salaries has gradually begun to be reflected in public opinion polls. In recent years, the Peruvian public’s perception that the country is regressing has dropped from 75% to 52%, according to a recent national survey on progress carried out by Ipsos Peru in December of 2025.
