Issue Apr 03-09 2024: Medellín had 1.5 million tourists in 2023 which accounted for 7% of the city’s GDP. Medellín has had many instances of sexual exploitation of minors by tourists, the most well-known being the case of Timothy Alan Livingston who was found with 12 and 13-year-old girls in his hotel room.
