Dominican Republic Seeks to Strengthen Bonds with Chile

Issue Jan 07-13 2026: Luis Abinader, the president of the Dominican Republic, has announced on X that he seeks to forge closer ties between his country and Chile. “Today I spoke on the phone with Chile’s President-elect José Antonio Kast,” Abinader said, “…I congratulated him for his victory and we reaffirmed our desire to strengthen cooperation and dialogue between Chile and the Dominican Republic so as to benefit the people in our countries.”
