The Disabled in Bolivia “Crucify” Themselves in Protest

Groups of disabled individuals in three regions of Bolivia recently suspended themselves in their wheel chairs from the Pérez Velasco Bridge in protest.  Because of a recent conflict between the police and disabled people, a group gathered at the Pérez Velasco Bridge and demanded a bond of 500 bolivianos.
