A “silent march” took place a month after the mysterious death of special prosecutor Alberto Nisman that his ex-wife insisted was to honor his memory, but critics say was a demonstration against President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s government. The ruling Frente para la Victoria passed a law dissolving the Intelligence Secretariat (SI) and creating the new Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI); the old SIDE, that the SI temporarily replaced, has been shown to have been involved in plenty of untoward activities.
