Issue Feb 04-10 2026: The Colombian government has announced that it will be deploying 30,000 soldiers along the 2,219 kilometer-long border that it shares with Venezuela as a security measure in the wake of the capture of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro by U.S. forces.
