After suddenly deporting thousands of Colombian families living along the Venezuelan side of the border with Colombia, tension between the two countries is mounting as human rights violations continue to occur.  

A new booklet to be revealed at a joint conference between the two countries will reportedly cut down on smuggling by focusing on cultural artifacts that are regular targets for criminals, such as archaeological pieces, sculptures, paintings, etc.
