Brazilian Industry Sees Possibility of Growth After Decades of Setbacks

Issue Jan 29-Feb 04 2025: Brazil has faced a long process of deindustrialization since the 80s. That, which then equaled up to 48% of the GDP, fell down to 21.1% in 2017. The Brazilian industry, however, could see its downfall coming to an end, and perhaps even a reverse process in the near future, said Ricardo Cappelli, President of the Brazilian Agency of Industrial Development (ABDI), in an interview published by CartaCapital Magazine of Brazil.
