The terse press release in which Costa Rica announced the closure of 29 Burger King (BK) locations in Costa Rica and 12 in Panama in October, did not reveal the history of mistrust, errors and conflicts between the parties of a failed joint venture that had been created to stabilize a bad financial operation, and try to sell it to a third party before the end 2014.
