Now, President Abelardo de la Espriella promises to return to an eradication method that cost around 80 trillion pesos with limited results. This is the central strategy of an administration proposing a radical shift away from the approach taken by Gustavo Petro’s government, which had initially completely ruled out eradication in favor of a strategy based on voluntary crop substitution agreements.
