Economic State of Emergency in Venezuela, Again

Issue Aug 12-18 2026: The Venezuelan government has declared a state of economic emergency in the country that is foreseen to last at least 60 days, and which may be extended for an additional 60 days after that. As has been the case in other instances, the Supreme Court of Justice was quick to ratify the legality of the declaration.
