Issue Jun 03-09 2026: According to data compiled by activists and environmental advocates,  at least 79 incidents involving the accidental release of oil into the environment occurred in Venezuelan national territory between 2022 and 2024 alone, whole satellite monitoring during just three months of 2025 permitted the identification of 59 such events.
