Issue Feb 25-Mar 03 2026: Global asset management giant Franklin Templeton sees in Mexico’s US $500 billion pension fund system a potential partner with which to build infrastructure in the country. Pension investment companies, known as Afores, have grown thanks to reforms to the country’s mandatory savings system, which increased the number of workers who can receive pensions and rose contribution levels toward retirement.
