Poverty Rate Drops in Costa Rica

Issue Oct 22-28 2025: According to a new study released by Costa Rica’s National Statistics and Census Institute (INEC) entitled the National Survey of Homes (Enaho), the rate of those living in poverty in the Central American country is estimated to be 15.2%, while the rates of those living in extreme poverty stands at roughly 3.8%.
