Colombia’s Ministry of Environment Seeks to Eradicate and Prohibit an Invasive Species

Issue Oct 22-28 2025: Through a resolution, still in draft form and awaiting comments, the Ministry of Environment seeks to add the Basa fish to the list of invasive exotic species, which would officially prohibit its sale. The Ministry warns, based on scientific analysis, that many ecosystems are at risk.
