IACHR Urges Restraint and Dialogue in Ecuador

Issue Oct 08-14 2025: The Inter-American International Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) of the Organization of American States (OAS) and its Special Rapporteurship for Freedom of Expression (RELE) have demanded that Ecuador establish pathways of effective dialogue with protesters to prevent new human rights violations in the context of that country’s national strike, which has remained active for nearly a month.
