Issue Aug 27-Sep 02 2025: The ombudsman’s offices of Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia have sounded the alarm that there is currently a humanitarian crisis in the region involving “reverse migration,” that is, migrants returning through those countries on their way south after being deported from Mexico or the United States.
