Issue Aug 27-Sep 02 2025: Paraguay’s Economy and Finance Minister, Carlos Fernández Valdovinos, appeared before that country’s Lower House Budget Committee at the end of August to address concerns about the future of public servants working for the National Electricity Administration (ANDE), given the planned merger of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) with the Vice Ministry of Mines and Energy.
