Peru is Cracking Down on Undocumented Immigrations While Opening Pathways for Documented Ones

Issue Aug 27-Sep 02 2025: Peru’s National Migration Office has announced that starting September 15th, foreigners with expired visas or overstayed permits will be able to apply for legal status. This program, however, does not allow those who entered the country without border control to apply. This initiative comes from the nation’s most recent campaign, “Being in order is not optional. Formalize your immigration status.”
