Issue Jun 18-24 2025: Chile is the minority when it comes to Latin American countries that do not include Indigenous communities in their constitution, even though they make up 13% of the country’s population. Recently, President Gabriel Boric presented a constitutional reform to Congress that would recognize eleven Indigenous tribes. Constitutional recognition has been a long-standing fight that Chilean Indigenous communities have finally championed.
