Issue Aug 14-20 2024: The Guatemalan Migration Institute (IGM) is awaiting the decision of 43 Mexican families who fled their homes to seek shelter in the municipality of Cuilco, Huehuetenango, on whether to renew their humanitarian stay status within the Central American country, or whether to return to Mexico.
