Issue Mar 15-21 2023: Investigation shows that unequal spending priorities during the COVID-19 pandemic were found in 60 Latin American districts’ public accounts: in countries including Peru, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, poorer municipalities provided economic aid and food baskets, while richer ones allocated funds for maintaining green areas, waste management, and sports.
