Peru has the third-highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Latin America, following Brazil and Mexico. While the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is quickly rising, Peruvian officials try to implement more ways of social distancing to prevent the spreading of COVID-19. As of July 29, 2020, Peru has 395,000 confirmed cases and 18,612 deaths.
