During the two months that Peru’s current congress has been installed, political parties such as the Unión por Perú (UPP), Somos Perú, Frente Amplio, and Podemos have presented five initiatives to more rigorously punish senior officials who commit acts of corruption during states of emergency, such as the current one in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
