The approach to tackling climate change seems to involve heavily reporting climate conferences and summits. Highlighting talks and debate about the environment is seen as integral to proving that the benchmarks towards progress are moving. Recently the COP- 25 Summit was moved first from Brazil, then to Chile, and finally, back to Europe in Spain. The discourse was moved further away from the heart of climate conflict in Brazil, where confrontations continue between the indigenous people and loggers emboldened by Jair Bolsonaro’s policies. Often overshadowed by climate summits and political giants, the fight of the indigenous people is now beginning to translate into spheres of power.
