The rupture of the dam in one mining facility in Brumadinho is a tragedy that cannot be attributed to President Jair Bolsonaro’s administration given his recently initiated term, but nevertheless imposes a high duty to step up the inspection and control over mining companies’ operations and thus, to guarantee the security of the population that surrounds these places.
