The Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources, or Ibama, fined plantation owners and indigenous groups R$2,7 million, after confirming the controversial cultivation of genetically modified corn and soybeans on four indigenous reservations in the state of Mato Grosso in Brazil.
